Members Handicap Index Lookup
Handicap Indexes are re-calculated after each event.
A Handicap Index is not a number of strokes for a particular course (that is a course index)
Scroll down to your name to find your current index. Newer Members are at the bottom!
A player who has not previously played with the VGC will be listed as "Net".
This means they will be handicapped to such that they have a "Average Net Par" for their first round.
You are not actually adjusted to a NET PAR but rather you are adjusted such that you "net" the
"average NET of all golfers with an actual VGC handicap who played that event".
This reflects any difficult/unusual course conditions that may be encountered, such as, high win, rain, cold, bad course conditions, etc. It likewise reflects good course conditions.
